I’m Jonathan, the creator behind JonathanRoams.

I live full-time in an RV while working a regular 40-hour job — not remote, not retired, and not treating this lifestyle like a permanent vacation.

For me, RV life started as a way to rethink housing, freedom, cost of living, and what “normal” is supposed to look like. This channel and website are where I document the real side of that decision: the costs, the repairs, the routines, the tradeoffs, the lessons learned, and the occasional weekend reset when I need to get away from the noise.

I’m currently building out a box truck conversion designed around off-grid living, solar power, better insulation, fewer windows, a real workspace, and a wood-burning stove. The goal is not to build a luxury showpiece. The goal is to build something practical, efficient, livable, and honest.
